THE KICKSTARTER

The initial filming – of the Cathy Come Home rehearsals, the video diaries and interviews – was all made possible through a successful Kickstarter campaign early in 2016.

It was a nail-biting few weeks of ups and downs- only 35% of Kickstarter campaigns succeed, and it’s an all-or-nothing approach- but in the end we made it, with 77 separate donors helping us to raise the initial £7k for principle filming.

THE BROADCASTERS

We submitted the film to key commissioners and broadcasters across the UK, and although there has been some really positive responses, no one has bitten yet.

THE NEXT STEPS

We’re now seeking completion funding to complete the editing, grading and promotion of the film.

Our intention is to then take the film to festivals and tour it to residents and staff in hostels, day centres, homeless organisations, housing associations, parliamentary events, and other organisations across the country, alongside the actors and expert facilitators from Cardboard Citizens.
